Dr. Huseman visited an orthodontist as a child, and for 12-year-old him, everything just clicked. He was intrigued by all of the cool tools the team got to use, he liked that the doctor was his own boss, and he even thought that getting to wear scrubs was cool! Between this experience and already having a love for working with his hands, he quickly knew he wanted to become a dentist.

Dr. James Huseman
Dr. Huseman is passionate about being a dentist. In fact, he can't imagine doing anything else! He very much enjoys getting to know his patients and communicates detailed, honest diagnostic information so he can work with a patient to determine the best treatment plan. After attending Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana for three years, Dr. Huseman was accepted into the Indiana University School of Dentistry (IUSD), where he graduated in 2006. Even though he hasn’t been in school for a long time, his education has never stopped. That’s why he is an active member of a local Spear Study Club as well as the American Dental Association, Indiana Dental Association, and the Indianapolis District Dental Society.

to Do?
Dr. Huseman married his high school sweetheart, Michelle (who works in our practice), and they have three wonderful and energetic kids as well as a little Maltipoo dog. When he isn’t spending time with family or studying dentistry, he likes to run, play golf, or binge-watch his favorite show at the time.
